This Privacy Policy describes how Skuwd, LLC (“Skuwd,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with your access to and use of the Skuwd mobile applications, web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described herein.

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to:

• Business name

• Inventory data and item records

• Uploaded images and photos

• Locations, categories, QR/NFC identifiers

• Account credentials and profile information

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any information you provide is lawful and that you have the right to upload, store, and process such information.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

• IP address

• Device type and operating system

• Browser type

• App usage and interaction data

• Log files, crash reports, and diagnostic data

This information is used to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

1.3 Payment Information

Skuwd uses Stripe, Inc. as a third-party payment processor. Skuwd does not store or process your payment card details. Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy and security practices.

Skuwd may receive limited billing-related metadata from Stripe (such as subscription status, plan type, and payment confirmation) solely for account management, service provisioning, and customer support.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service

• Process subscriptions and manage accounts

• Store and display user inventory data

• Provide customer support and communications

• Improve performance, reliability, and user experience

• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents

Skuwd does not sell or rent your personal information.

 

3. Data Storage and Infrastructure

Skuwd stores and processes user data using Firebase, a cloud service operated by Google LLC and hosted on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your data will be transmitted to and stored on third-party cloud infrastructure operated by our service providers. While Skuwd implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

4. Data Retention

Skuwd retains user data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary to:

• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

• Resolve disputes

• Enforce agreements

• Maintain backups and system integrity

Upon account termination, user data is scheduled for deletion within a reasonable period of time, subject to legal, billing, audit, and backup retention requirements.

 

5. Prohibited Content and Reporting

Skuwd strictly prohibits the storage, transmission, or use of the Service for:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

• Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors

• Content that is unlawful or violates applicable regulations

Skuwd does not actively monitor user content but reserves the right to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required by law.

 

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Skuwd may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers (such as Google Cloud/Firebase and Stripe) solely to operate and support the Service

• To comply with legal obligations, subpoenas, court orders, or lawful government requests

• To protect the rights, safety, and security of Skuwd, its users, or the public

• In connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or corporate restructuring

Skuwd does not sell personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

 

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Skuwd’s website and web application may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain user sessions

• Remember preferences

• Analyze usage patterns

• Improve site performance and functionality

Skuwd implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect user information. Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (such as HTTPS/TLS), and access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

However, you acknowledge that no security measures are foolproof. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skuwd is not liable for unauthorized access to or loss of user data beyond our reasonable control.

Skuwd is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States and other jurisdictions where Skuwd or its service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

 

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Skuwd does not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that personal information from a minor has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

 

12. User-Generated Content

You acknowledge that Skuwd is not responsible for the nature, legality, accuracy, or ownership of content uploaded by users. Users remain solely responsible for all content they upload, store, and manage through the Service.

 

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Skuwd may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
